The Digital Egypt Youth (DEY) initiative plays a vital role in achieving one of the strategic objectives of the ICT sector by empowering young Egyptians to thrive in the digital economy, contributing to the country’s socioeconomic development and digital transformation initiatives.
The Digital Egypt Youth (DEY) initiative aims to provide young Egyptians with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the digital age. The initiative focuses on training youth in various digital fields to increase their employability and entrepreneurship opportunities. The initiative aims to bridge the digital skills gap in Egypt and create a digitally skilled workforce to support the country’s digital transformation. It specifically targets young Egyptians, equipping them with in-demand skills needed for jobs in the digital economy.
The initiative offers a full-fledged scholarship and targets 2500 fresh graduates from Egyptian universities nationwide. The initiative adopts the upskilling approach: technical up-skilling and personal and soft skills up-skilling aspects. The program seeks to cover various digital skills to cater to diverse interests and career paths.
The Digital Egypt Youth (DEY) initiative collaborates with industry partners and experts to develop and deliver relevant training content. This ensures that the program aligns with industry requirements and equips participants with practical skills and knowledge that are in demand in the job market. The program aims to facilitate job placement for trained participants by partnering with industry stakeholders and creating linkages between trained individuals and potential employers through one month of job training at the industry partner premises. This helps connect young talent with job opportunities in the digital sector. NTI collaborated with more than 75 national and multinational industry partners including but not limited to, Amazon, Etisalat Egypt, Vodafone, Huawei, WE, Cisco, VMware, Orange, Valeo, Avelabs, and SEITech, Brightsky, VOIS to design more than 30 professional tracks to meet job profiles and ICT market need. At the end of the program, participants receive certification that validate their skills and competencies. Theses certificates help enhance their employability and serve as credentials for future job opportunities.
A key target field of the Digital Egypt Initiative is the electronics & embedded systems to match the presidential initiative HireReady.

About the initiative
The initiative is offered as a full-fledged scholarship for selected fresh Egyptian university graduates within five calendar years of their graduation. It helps in bridging the gap between the talent skills and the regional and international market need. Collaboration with more than 75 national and multinational industry partners and more than 30 professional tracks. Candidates will join after a fine screening process done in cooperation with our industry partners. Tracks are designed in cooperation with our industry partners to meet job profiles and ICT market needs. Each track has a duration of four months including technical program, soft skills program, in addition to a one month on job training at the industry partner premises. After passing the track the candidates will receive joint certificates from NTI and our industry partners.

erms and General Regulations Governing the Initiative
- Commitment to submit all required documents on the initiative’s electronic platform upon approval of these terms and regulations is a fundamental requirement for scholarship acceptance:
- Copy of the graduation certificate.
- Scanned copy of the national ID card.
- Signed declaration by the trainee.
- Compliance with the fundamental requirements of each training program is a prerequisite for acceptance into the scholarship.
- Commitment to the scheduled training hours (7 training hours daily).
- Adherence to the prescribed attendance percentage of not less than 75%.
- Commitment to appropriate behavior and professional etiquette with everyone during the training period within the initiative.
- Commitment to preserving academic materials and refraining from posting them on electronic platforms (intellectual property rights).
- Commitment to the accuracy of all information stated in the declaration.
- Commitment to submitting a new signed declaration for each training course the trainee enrolls in.
- Commitment to providing a notification or sending an apology via email for non-completion of the scholarship, at least 48 hours before the commencement of the training.

1. Who is eligible to apply for the scholarship?
The initiative allows anyone who has not graduated more than five years ago to apply.
2. Does studying require attending the institute’s premises?
Yes, the initiative is available through the attendance system at the institute’s locations.
3. Is there practical training or is the study purely theoretical?
The study includes both theoretical and practical aspects, and practical training is conducted based on the content covered in the training unit using the latest methods and specialized programs.
4. Are employees allowed to join the scholarship?
To be eligible for the scholarship, full commitment to attending lectures on a daily basis throughout the training unit is required.
5. What is the duration of the training unit?
The training unit lasts for 3 months at the institute’s premises, in addition to one month of practical training at one of the companies supporting the selected training unit.
6. If I have previously benefited from the scholarships offered by the institute (6-month scholarship or 3-month scholarship), am I eligible to apply for the new training units?
You can only benefit from the “HireReady” and “Digital Egypt Youth” initiatives once.
7. Do I need a computer to join the scholarship?
It is preferable to have a personal computer (laptop) to maximize the program’s benefits. If that is not possible, the National Telecommunications Institute will provide you with a computer throughout the training period at the premises.
8. When will I be contacted for the interview?
Once the application period is closed, you will be contacted to schedule the acceptance tests, which will require your presence at the premises on the specified date.
9. When will I be notified of the interview results?
The results will be announced within two weeks after the interview. If you are accepted and the required number of participants is complete, you will be contacted to confirm the completion of paperwork and your readiness to participate.
10. What should I do if I entered incorrect information in the registration form and want to correct it?

11. How can I change my preferences?
Send an email to [email protected] with your full name and national ID number, requesting the deletion of all preferences. After that, you can enter new preferences using the same personal account. Please note that modifications will be treated as a new registration starting from the date of the modifications.
12. When is an applicant considered accepted for the scholarship?
Acceptance into the scholarship has several stages:
- First: Meeting all the requirements for joining the training unit, as listed on the registration page.
- Second: Completing the personal interview.
- Third: Submitting all the required documents.
13. How can I withdraw from the scholarship?
Send a request to withdraw at least 48 hours before the start of the training, including your full name, national ID number, the training unit you applied for, and the registration number, to the email address [email protected].
14. Can non-Egyptian nationals apply for the scholarship?
The scholarship is only available for Egyptians.
